Appointment of a Lay Member to the Audit Committee of Flintshire County Council Penodi Aelod Lleyg ar Bwyllgor Archwilio Cyngor Sir y Fflint Under the Local Government (Wales) Measure 2011 the Council is required to have on its Audit Committee at least one person who is a Lay Member in addition to those who are County Councillors. The person appointed should: * Be independent from the Council and have no business connection with it; * Know how local government functions; * Not have a well known political allegiance. Due to the nature of the work of the Audit Committee, the person appointed must: * Be of good character and integrity; * Have listening skills; * Have the ability to understand and weigh up information; * Have team working skills; * Be discreet. The person appointed will receive a fee of £99 for each meeting of the Audit Committee they attend.
