Toolmaker/Conventional Machinist - Pay will range between £10.00 and £13.00 p/h depending on shifts worked. You will be required to work shifts (days/nights 12hr shifts) but will be on 36 hr days to start with until up to speed. Purpose of role: Manufacture and repair of various casting tools, moulds, jigs and fixtures for use in-house. General operation of various conventional machine tools for production The Toolmaker will enable and control the following: Ensuring that Health & Safety standards are complied with Ensuring that the Companys Environmental Management System (ems) standards are complied with Read and interpret engineering drawings to produce work of an acceptable quality, following the Companys Quality Management System (qms) Ability to operate surface grinder, cylindrical grinder & die sink spark erosion machine. Ability to set and operate various machine tools including conventional lathes, milling machines , pedestal drills
